A collective vision to fund care, not killing.

Invest in:

    1. End homelessness by providing housing for all, regardless of location, income, and ability to work.

    2. Fund affordable homes built on environmental sustainability. Provide home maintenance grants for low-income homeowners to ensure healthy, safe, and sustainable homes.

    3. Fund federal downpayment assistance programs for first generation homebuyers to close the racial wealth gap. Provide reparations to individuals historically denied housing opportunities in the U.S., and provide quality housing for immigrants and refugees.

    4. Enforce and expand legal protections for renters and single-family home owners against the threat of exploitative landlords, displacement and gentrification by corporate developers and speculators, and real estate market takeovers by Wall Street.

    1. Provide universal, free healthcare for all, including reproductive healthcare, mental healthcare, elder care, disability services, and culturally competent services.

    2. Invest in public health through expansions in Medicaid, Medicare, local comprehensive health centers, harm reduction for substance use, and sustained support to prevent and treat COVID-19 and Long COVID.

    3. Fund health and mental health services for queer, trans, and gender-nonconforming people, including education for medical professionals.

    1. Fund public schools equitably instead of on the basis of property taxes. Provide high-quality, inclusive, anti-bias, culturally and linguistically sustaining public education for all children, including Black history and ethnic studies curricula and LGBTQIA+ student protections.

    2. Provide paid parental leave and free comprehensive, quality childcare for all. Invest in the early education workforce and ensure that educators earn a dignified wage.

    3. Provide comprehensive health and reproductive education including free health services.

    4. Fund school counselors, after-school programs, arts education, restorative justice, youth employment programs, and free healthy meals for all children in schools.

    5. Cancel student debt and provide free college.

    1. Respect Indigenous sovereignty and self-determination. Establish free prior and informed consent for Indigenous and tribal communities regarding any action affecting their land and rights.

    2. Invest in a just transition away from fossil fuels and toward clean energy like solar power. Support workers currently trapped in the war and fossil fuel economy with training opportunities to enter a green economy.

    3. Fund infrastructure for public transit, climate resilience, and disaster response and recovery, with universal access and community governance of programs.

    4. Invest in good union jobs, workforce development programs, cooperatively owned businesses, community-controlled food hubs from local farms, and reparations for survivors of state violence.

DIVEST FROM:

    1. End the dangerous and costly U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.

    2. Cut the U.S. military budget by 50%, in order to close 800+ U.S. military bases around the world and eliminate weapons sales to violators of human rights. Return all troops, and reduce the use and stockpiling of nuclear weapons.

    3. Divest from the Global War on Terror, and from war economies that rely on the destruction and extraction of resources, land, and labor.

    4. Completely withdraw U.S. forces from Africa and close AFRICOM, the United States Africa Command for military operations.

    5. End all forms of complicity in Israel’s ongoing genocide against the Palestinian people, including blocking weapons and military funding to Israel.

    1. Defund the police. Divest funds from massive police department budgets and state surveillance.

    2. Immediately stop constructing and shut down all cop cities.

    3. Divest from the school-to-prison pipeline that disproportionately punishes Black, brown, and Indigenous students. End zero-tolerance policies, remove cops from schools, and end suspensions and expulsions in early childhood settings.

    4. End the prison industrial complex and carceral state expansion, in order to build stronger communities rooted in community safety. (Prison costs taxpayers $80 billion a year.)

    5. Root out ableist carceral systems. Abolish psychiatric incarceration and the deadly policing of neurodivergence and disability by law enforcement, social services, and mental healthcare.

    1. Defund and dismantle immigration systems like ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) and CBP (Customs and Border Protection). Shut down all immigration detention centers.

    2. Stop funding deadly border militarization and immigration enforcement operations. End weapons and surveillance technology deployment, and divest from physical or virtual border barriers.

    3. Stop anti-asylum policies that prevent refugees from accessing safety, and stop funding the wars that displace them in the first place.

    1. Divest from the fossil fuel economy, including weapons of war and oil and gas drilling in the outer continental shelf.

    2. End tax cuts and government handouts for corporations and the ultrarich, including corporate landlords and Wall Street developers.

    3. Expand worker rights and hold corporations accountable for union busting, labor violations, poverty wages, and human rights abuses.
